Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on the glacial-fed Pho Chu River, navigating exciting rapids through stunning landscapes. Take a scenic hike to the hilltop Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, offering sweeping views of the Punakha Valley. Visit the charming village of Bali to learn the traditional art of Ara wine-making. Conclude your day with a serene visit to Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, where a Tshewang blessing ceremony by resident monks offers prayers for long life, peace, and spiritual harmony.
Day 4 Phobjikha
After an early breakfast, journey toward the serene Phobjikha Valley, a scenic three-hour drive. En route, stop to hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the revered fertility temple built in 1499 and blessed by Bhutan’s beloved “Divine Madman,” Drukpa Kunley. Upon arrival in Phobjikha, check into the charming Gangtey Lodge, your home for the next two nights. This 4.6 km (2.9 mi) walk takes about two hours and leads you through peaceful forests and across gentle streams, offering panoramic views of the valley and protected wetlands below. On your return, stop by the Black-necked Crane Information Centre to learn about these revered, endangered birds and their cultural significance. Though best seen from November to February, the centre provides an enclosure with spotting scopes for close observation. Spend the afternoon at leisure, with mountain bikes available for further exploration.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the peaceful Phobjikha Valley and set off on a scenic five-hour drive to Paro Valley. Upon arrival, check into the serene Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, your home for the next two nights.
