Day 1 & 2 Yapahuwa
Ayubowan!! Welcome to Sri Lanka. Upon your arrival in Colombo, you will be warmly greeted and Drive to a 1.5-hour drive to Yapahuwa, a 13th-century royal palace and fortress. Explore its striking staircase, climb to enjoy 360° views, and then continue to The Mudhouse. After check-in and a local lunch, relax or explore the property.
Wake early for a sunrise birdwatching walk before breakfast. Spend the day biking to temples and lakes, spotting birds, or cooking traditional dishes with fresh farm ingredients. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening at the property.
Day 3 & 4 Sigiriya
Travel to Sigiriya and check into your hotel.
Enroute visit to Dambulla Caves.
Next day wake early to catch the sunrise and head to Sigiriya Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 200-meter volcanic formation, known as the “8th Wonder of the World,” showcases ancient urban planning and 1,200 steps to breathtaking summit views. Pass the historic Mirror Wall and the iconic Lion Paws entrance. Visit early to avoid crowds and enjoy the serene beauty of this marvel.
Day 5 & 6 Kandy
Travel to kandy and check into your hotel. Morning option of Experience a breathtaking hot air balloon ride over Dambulla, soaring above lush landscapes, ancient temples, and scenic countryside at sunrise.
Explore Kandy, Sri Lanka’s ancient capital, visiting the sacred Temple of the Tooth and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Discover orchids, iconic trees, royal history, and serene lake walks.
Day 7 & 8 Ella
Wake early for the unforgettable train ride from Kandy to Ella, winding through misty forests, tea plantations, and waterfalls. Explore Ella’s outdoor gems, including Ella Rock, Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, and Lipton Seat. Savor local food, sunsets, and traditional Sri Lankan cooking classes for an immersive experience.
Day 9 & 10 Weligama
After breakfast and check-out, enjoy a 5-hour drive south to Weligama’s serene coastline. Your hotel for the next two nights is situated on a peaceful beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. The rest of the day is free, with dinner at your leisure. You may enjoy a whale watching, sea kayaking along Weligama’s coastline, and diving in Unawatuna, with options for half or full-day experiences.
Day 11 & 12 Galle
Drive to Sri Lanka’s southwest coast and settle at Galle’s Fort Bazaar. Explore UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, stroll narrow streets, visit bastions, admire Dutch houses, and enjoy a stunning sunset over this historic coastal town.
Explore the historic Galle Fort, a charming old trading port with Dutch-colonial buildings, mosques, churches, museums, stylish cafés, boutiques, and restored hotels owned by artists, writers, and designers. Wander its vibrant, character-filled lanes.
Day 13 Leave Colombo
Conclude your journey through Sri Lanka as you drive to Colombo airport from Galle.
