En route, stop at Chendiji Chorten, a 19th-century stupa built to subdue a powerful demoness. In the afternoon, explore Trongsa Dzong, Bhutan’s most majestic fortress, with origins dating to the 16th century and completed in 1644. Discover its spiritual and political significance, and engage with senior monks who reside there. The next day, visit Pema Choling Nunnery and Mebar Tso, the “Burning Lake.” Experience a powerful drum ceremony by the nuns, enjoy lunch with them, and visit Jakar Lhakhang before returning to your resort to relax and unwind with mountain views.
